PSV O19 started the Otten Innovation Cup with a 2-1 victory over RSC Anderlecht. In the first match of the tournament (twice twenty minutes of pure playing time), Noah Fernadez crowned himself the gold medalist with two goals.
PSV O19 took the lead early in the match through a goal by Noah Fernadez. The left wing attacker on duty finished well off a pass from Joël van den Berg. Vincent Heilmann 's team then remains the superior side, until Fabian Merién receives a yellow card and thus a time penalty. RSC Anderlecht pushes, but cannot convert the advantage into a goal.
Unstoppable shot
In the second half, PSV O19 is back on war footing and regaining pressure. Chances followed for Elvic Mukena, Sami Bouhoudane and Gino Verhulst, but to no avail. It is therefore against proportion that the Belgian visitors equalize from eleven meters in the 29th minute (Conte Aboubakar). The penalty kick is given for a handball by the PSV defense. Moments later, PSV claimed a handball at the other end, but the referee ruled otherwise. The game is heading for a draw, until Noah Fernadez tries from distance. He hits the ball perfectly and his shot proves unstoppable for the goalkeeper. PSV O19 starts the Otten Innovation Cup with a victory.
