The second day of the Otten Cup kicked off with a match against the Brazilian team Red Bull Bragantino. In PSV's U19's second game, the Brazilians opened the scoring in the second half, but PSV equalized with a goal from Jaden de Guzman.
PSV's U19's started the match with clear intent: to put the Brazilians under heavy pressure. However, it was Red Bull Bragantino who registered the first shot on goal in the fifth minute. PSV tried to remain patient, searching for space between the lines, resulting in a strong attack down the right flank, but Manuel Bahaty couldn't quite convert the cross. Both teams played with intensity, pressing closely and towards the end of the first half, Jairo Beerens made a brilliant run on the right and fired a shot, but the Brazilian goalkeeper made the save. Noah Fernandez, who scored twice the previous day, skillfully dribbled past his opponent and passed the ball to Manuel Bahaty, but his shot just missed the target.
Falling Behind
The second half began with a free kick for PSV where Robin van Duiven hit the post. A mistake in PSV's penalty area forced goalkeeper Steur to make a save and then shortly after, Floris Bos made a fine run through the middle, but he was stopped by the Brazilian defence. In the 30th minute, the Brazilians opened the scoring from a free kick. The ball was well delivered, laid off, and finished by defender Danilo Lucas da Silva Augusto. PSV tried to equalize with a good attack through Manuel Bahaty, with the ball eventually landing at Van Duiven's feet, but the Brazilian goalkeeper narrowly saved it. PSV’s pressure intensified, and it paid off. Jaden de Guzman, who had only been on the field for a few minutes, beat the goalkeeper and scored the equalizer. PSV U19's second match ended in a draw.
