PSV O19 has won the Otten Innovation Cup. The team won the penalty shootout 5-3, after the regular playtime ended in a 1-1 draw. Joël van de Berg shot the decisive penalty into the ropes.

PSV gets a great chance in the first few minutes through Sami Bouhoudane. The striker takes the ball on the volley from about ten meters, but his shot flies just over. Moments later, PSV is close again when Robin van Duiven shoots a free kick into the side netting. Moreover, Atletico Madrid picks up a yellow card. The initial phase of the match is for PSV O19.

In the 12th minute, the Spaniards create their first chance, when Kevin Pinto lashes out on the edge of the five-meter area. The winger mis-hits the ball and so Tijn Smolenaars has nothing to do. In the 17th minute, Atletico Madrid does become really dangerous when a low cross reaches the striker. Van der Plas was fortunately able to block the shot and so it remained 0-0 after twenty minutes.

Late equalizer
Vincent Hellmann's men look for the opponent emphatically on the left side of the field. That leads to a big chance in the second half. No goal comes from that, but a counter. Fabian Merién intervened beautifully and received appreciation from the crowd. The same goes for Joël van den Berg, who sees his header over the goalkeeper go just wide.

Only when PSV O19 is on the field with one man less due to a time penalty does Atletico Madrid strike. The Spaniards play attacking and find space on the flanks. A first chance does not yield anything, but the second is a winner. Jesús Barrios shoots his team to a 1-0 lead and time is running out for PSV O19. But then there is always Robin van Duiven, who can score out of nothing. With exactly 1 minute and 52 seconds to go, he heads the ball in.

PSV O19 wins the penalty kick series 5-3 and takes the Otten Innovation Cup for the second time in a row.
